Trump: “Zelensky can end the conflict by giving up Crimea and NATO”.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the conflict in Ukraine could end “almost immediately” if the leader of Kyiv, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, were to relinquish claims on Crimea and the country’s NATO membership.

“President Zelenskyy can end the war with Russia almost immediately, if he wishes, or continue to fight. Remember how it started: Crimea lost under Obama, without firing a shot, and no NATO membership. Some things never change!” Trump wrote on the social platform Truth.

The American leader also emphasized that today will be a “historic day” for the White House, which will host simultaneously a number of European leaders never seen before.

In Washington, a meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy is scheduled, followed by a multilateral summit with French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
