The US has struck approximately 2,000 targets in Iran since the beginning of the operation

Almost 2,000 targets struck, over 2,000 munitions used, 17 ships sunk, including a submarine, and Iranian air defenses “severely compromised”. This is the military assessment outlined by Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of CENTCOM, the United States Central Command, in a video released on the command’s X profile.

“We have already struck nearly 2,000 targets with more than 2,000 munitions. We have severely degraded Iran’s air defenses and destroyed hundreds of ballistic missiles, launchers, and drones,” Cooper stated.

On the naval front, the commander announced the destruction of 17 Iranian Navy vessels: “Among these, the most operationally significant submarine in the Iranian fleet, which now has a hole in its side.”

The operation involves over 50,000 American troops, 200 fighter jets, two aircraft carriers, and a component of strategic bombers. “Additional capabilities are on the way,” Cooper specified, implying that the escalation is not yet over.
