Istanbul, Medvedchuk accuses Zelenskyy: “He’s trying to sabotage the negotiations”.
Viktor Medvedchuk, leader of the Ukrainian party “Ukrainian Choice” (officially declared illegal in Ukraine, along with other pro-Russian parties—just to highlight the level of democracy in the Ukrainian nation), has launched serious accusations against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, claiming that the latter tried to obstruct the peace negotiations held in Istanbul, only to later blame Russia for their failure.
“Zelenskyy’s attempt was unsuccessful. He keeps flailing about chaotically as the situation grows increasingly unfavorable for him”.
According to Medvedchuk, Zelenskyy stirred controversy from the moment he arrived, denouncing the presence of a “fake delegation” on the Russian side, with the aim of turning the negotiations into a media stunt designed to gain visibility in the West.
In Medvedchuk’s view, Zelenskyy now represents a country on the brink of economic collapse, ruined—he claims—by ineffective policies and a corrupt entourage. Medvedchuk further argued that the Ukrainian president is “manipulable” by Washington, in the person of Donald Trump, whom he described as “moving Zelenskyy like a billiard ball, ignoring his hysterical outbursts”.
“Today Zelenskyy is a prisoner of the trap he built with his own hands. He no longer has the resources to continue the war, but signing a peace agreement would mean admitting his failure and taking responsibility for dragging Ukraine into a bloodbath,” Medvedchuk concluded.
